Business Visa – Everything You Need To Know About Business Visa In Dubai

Want to set up your business in Dubai? There’s no more exciting venture.

The emirate has become an immensely attractive business hub for entrepreneurs due to its tax-free economy, strategic location in addition to the limitless business opportunities this picturesque city offers.

Starting a business in Dubai will be much easier when you get a Dubai Business Visa

What is the Dubai Business Visa?

A business visa is part of the Golden Visa program, which allows foreigners to apply for a long-term visa for themselves and their dependents.

It aims to make a more appealing environment to do business and thrive economically in the UAE.

Eligibility Requirements

Entrepreneurial professionals of any nationality can apply for a business visa.

Anyone who has previously started a business and wishes to do so in the UAE is considered an eligible entrepreneur.

To be eligible for the commercial application, you must:
– Be able to demonstrate your experience as an entrepreneur
– Have been a majority shareholder in a start-up or a member of its management team
– Be willing to relocate to the UAE and legally start a business in one of the seven emirates
– Have a business idea or plan that you want to implement in the UAE.

candidates must pass the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship’s standards, which include a background check and a health assessment.

Qualification for the business visa is not a guarantee that the applicant will receive the visa. Specialized committees review the application and attached documents and issue an appropriate approval. Once approved, the applicant must meet the requirements of the Federal Authority for identity and citizenship to receive the visa.

Applying for a business visa

You must have your nomination accepted by a UAE government-sponsored incubator to apply for a business visa (currently AREA2071 in Dubai and HUB71 in Abu Dhabi).
After your nomination is accepted, you will be invited to apply for a visa through Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
The nomination method is as follows:

  1. Visit https://business.goldenvisa.ae and create a new account.
  2. Once your account is verified, log in and apply for nomination.
  3. Submit your completed application. The process might take up to 30 days for your application to be reviewed.

Once your nomination is approved, you will receive a link to upload the required documents and complete your application for the visa.

If your nomination is rejected, you must reapply after 90 days.

Getting the Visa

Once your nomination is approved, you will be asked to complete the visa application via Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship’s website

Once this is completed, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to obtain your visa.
If you are a resident outside the UAE, you will be granted a six-month visa to enter the UAE, explore opportunities and settle. Before your temporary visa expires, you must convert it to a residence permit.
If you are currently in the UAE, you will be granted a temporary one-month visa, which you will need to convert to a residence permit before it expires.

The Perks of the business visa

After getting the visa, the applicant will be able to:

  • Enter the country for six months with a multiple-entry visa, to facilitate the procedures of establishing the business
  • Nominate up to three of his business’s senior staff to obtain residency.

Note: All visa holders will be allowed to sponsor their dependents subject to the conditions and requirements as set out by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship
